Welcome to Maricopa Flowers! We're a local, independent, home-based flower shop proudly serving the Maricopa community.

I'm Aimee, the lead designer behind Maricopa Flowers. With the support of my partner, Jason, I’ve had the opportunity to turn something I’ve loved for more than 30 years into a business right here in the community we call home.

It All Started With an After-School Job

My journey with flowers began in 1993, when I took my first job at a well-known family-owned florist in Ellicott City, Maryland.

What started as an after-school job quickly became so much more.

I had the opportunity to work alongside incredibly talented floral designers from my hometown and around the world. I learned from them, developed my own design style, and continued my education through advanced floral design workshops.

After having my first child, I actually tried to leave the floral world behind—but flowers had other plans for me.

Before long, I was running my first home-based floral business, designing flowers for weddings and special events.

Finding My Way to Maricopa

When my family moved to Arizona and eventually made Maricopa home, my floral journey continued.

I worked in local flower shops, spent time with a Phoenix floral wholesaler helping create arrangements for grocery stores throughout Arizona, and even tried working in a grocery-store floral department.

But I kept discovering the same thing:

I missed creating.

For the next five years, I returned to one of the parts of floral design I love most—working with brides and helping bring the flowers they'd imagined for their wedding day to life.

Eventually, Jason gave me the opportunity to do what I'd wanted to do all along: build something of my own, right here at home.

No more commuting up the 347.

No more designing someone else's way.

Just the freedom to be creative, work personally with my customers, and create flowers for the community that has become our home.

Today, Maricopa Flowers offers fresh floral arrangements, custom designs, weddings and events, sympathy flowers, school-dance flowers and local flower delivery throughout Maricopa.

Some customers know exactly what they want. Others give me a color, an occasion or an idea and let me create.

Those are some of my favorites.

Because at Maricopa Flowers, I don't design flowers simply because it's my job.

I design because I truly love it.

And after all these years, it's funny to think…

I never thought my after-school job would turn into my passion.
